Shareholding and Ownership: One of the distinguishing features of Empowered Women Excel Student SACCO is its cooperative structure, where members are shareholders. This means that each member has a stake in the SACCO’s success and a say in its governance. Our members are encouraged to purchase shares that allow them to be part owners of the SACCO. This is an opportunity for young adults to learn about investment. Our shares allow our members to earn dividends at the end of each year.
Student Loans and Educational Financing: EWE Student SACCO provides affordable, low interest loans to students pursuing higher education or vocational training. This financial assistance helps cover tuition fees, academic materials, and other educational expenses. Our Student SACCO offers members an opportunity to learn skills that help empower them in different ways including offering entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, digital marketing and life skills.
Savings Accounts: Empowered Women Excel Student SACCO encourages young adults to develop healthy saving habits by offering flexible savings accounts. Our savings accounts offer students 2% interest per month in their savings. We are determined to teach young adults a culture of Saving and wise money management skills. These accounts are designed to help young adults save for both short-term and long-term goals, such as graduation expenses, entrepreneurial ventures or further studies.
Business and emergency Loans: We believe in creating opportunities that allow young individuals to create multiple streams of income through developing their entrepreneurial dreams. Our business loans are made to provide students with financial assistance to develop their businesses, with favorable terms. In addition to educational loans, EWE Student SACCO offers emergency loans for members facing unexpected financial challenges. These loans are structured to provide quick access to funds during times of crisis without the burden of high-interest rates.
Financial Literacy and Education: The SACCO runs workshops and seminars on financial literacy to help members understand budgeting, saving, investing, and managing debt.
